DWI HIT PARADE: Franklin Wilson charged with his 5^th career DWI in Delaware

BEAR, DEL. – The Delaware State Police have charged 50-year-old Franklin T. Wilson of Middletown with his 5th DUI, in connection with a motor vehicle crash involving injuries that occurred at approximately 11:57 p.m., Saturday, February 29, 2020, on SR 1 in the area of DE Rt. 72, Bear.

The investigation determined that Wilson was driving a 2004 Ford F-150 that was traveling at an apparent high rate of speed on southbound on SR 1, north of DE Rt. 72 in the center lane. Wilson’s vehicle rear-ended a 2017 Nissan Rogue, that was also traveling southbound on SR 1 in the center lane.

THE COWARD: After the collision, both vehicles became disabled in the roadway, at which time Wilson fled the scene on foot.

Wilson was located by Troopers a short time later in the 2100 block of Bear-Corbit Rd. and taken into custody without incident. The two occupants of the Nissan, a 23-year-old Middletown man, and a 23-year-old Philadelphia woman were transported to the Christiana Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Further investigation determined that Wilson was driving under the influence of alcohol at the time of the crash and a subsequent computer check revealed that he had 4 prior DUI convictions.

Wilson was transported to Troop 2 and charged with the following:

• 5th Offense DUI
• Vehicular Assault 2nd Degree (2 counts)
• Leaving the Scene of an Injury Crash
• Failure to Provide Information at a Crash Scene
• Driving Suspended
• Reckless Driving
• Unsafe Speed
• Inattentive Driving
• Unregistered Motor Vehicle

Wilson was arraigned in Justice of the Peace Court #11 and released after posting $8,475.00 secured bail.

Brent Walker Scores 4th Career DWI

On March 7 at approximately 1:30 p.m. a Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office deputy conducted a traffic stop on a car near the intersection of Heard Road and Constance Lane in Lake Charles. 

 When the deputy spoke with the driver, Brent Walker, 43, 4401 5th Avenue Apt. N98, Lake Charles, he could smell the odor of an alcoholic beverage emitting from his breath.  The deputy also observed him to have watery bloodshot eyes.  When the deputy spoke with Walker he advised he had one beer prior to driving his car.  During the investigation, the deputy learned Walker, who was convicted of DWI 3rd in 2015, had a suspended driver’s license.  The deputy also located a beer can and a small wine bottle, both opened, inside the car.    

After Walker performed poorly on a standard field sobriety test, he was arrested and transported to the Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office, where a breath intoxilyzer test revealed he was over the legal limit.  He was booked into the Calcasieu Correctional Center and charged with DWI 4th, failure to maintain a lane; obstructing a public passage; open alcoholic container in a motor vehicle; and a suspended driver’s license.  Judge Ron Ware set his bond at $27,000.

Lake Charles –

The Calcasieu Parish Sheriff reports that on February 27, 2020, at approximately 10:00 p.m. a Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office deputy conducted a traffic stop on a truck near the intersection of 12th Street and 6th Avenue in Lake Charles. 

 When the deputy spoke with the driver, Patrick Richard, 50, 2024 7th Avenue, Lake Charles, he could smell the odor of an alcoholic beverage emitting from his person.  The deputy also observed him to have slightly bloodshot eyes and unsteady balance.  When the deputy spoke with Richard he advised he had several beers prior to driving his truck.   

After Richard, who has two previous DWI arrests, performed poorly on a standard field sobriety test, he was arrested and transferred to the Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office, where a breath intoxilyzer test revealed he was over the legal limit.  He was booked into the Calcasieu Correctional Center and charged with DWI 3rd; and a traffic violation.  Richard was released the following day on a $11,000 bond set by Judge Robert Wyatt.

Lake Charles –

On January 23 at approximately 8:20 p.m. Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office deputies initiated a traffic stop on a truck near Common Street and 11th Street in Lake Charles for a traffic violation.

When deputies spoke with the driver, Alex J. Lemoine, 29, 701 11th Street, Lake Charles, they detected an odor of alcohol emitting from his person.  Deputies also observed him to have bloodshot eyes.  While speaking with Lemoine he stated to deputies he drank a beer and a shot of vodka.  Deputies also learned Lemoine had a suspended driver’s license for prior DWI arrests and was convicted of DWI 3rd in October of 2019.    

After Lemoine performed poorly on a standard field sobriety test, he was arrested and transferred to the Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office, where a breath intoxilyzer test revealed he was over the legal limit.  He was booked into the Calcasieu Correctional Center and charged with DWI 4th; operating a vehicle while under suspension for prior offenses; and a traffic violation.  Judge Clayton Davis set his bond at $5,550.

MARYLAND: Leonardtown Barrack of Maryland State Police DUI arrests through March 11, 2020.

KENARD ISAAC HIGHT, (DOB 7/1992) of 1121 Simsbury Court, Crofton, Md., was arrested for DWI on Feb. 25, 2020, at 12:54 am by Maryland Trooper Derek Harper as Hight operated a 2012 Nissan Altima northbound on Rt. 235 at Shady Mile Drive. Hight also was cited for failing to obey a traffic signal.  A court date has been set for April 22, 2020, in St. Mary’s District Court.

REPEAT OFFENDER DWI DRIVER

KIERSTEN FAYE NUTTER, (DOB 03/24/1991) of 46845 S. Shangri-La Drive, Lexington Park, Md., was arrested by Maryland State Trooper E. Ruggles on Feb. 27, 2020, at 2:23 am as she operated a 2012 Ford on Md. Rt. 235 at Pegg Road in Lexington Park, Md. Nutter was arrested on Jan. 13, 2020 by St. Mary’s Sheriff’s Department Cpl. Tirpak on theft charges.

KIERSTEN FAYE NUTTER was charged on Oct. 18, 2019, at 12:42 am by Maryland Trooper Bauer with driving while revoked as she operated a 2019 Ford Fiesta on Md. Rt. 235 at MacArthur Blvd. In a plea deal with St. Mary’s States Attorney Richard Fritz, the charge was dropped on Dec. 13, 2019.

Kiersten Faye Nutter was charged with DWI in Calvert County on May 11, 2014, and pleaded guilty to DWI on Oct. 20, 2014, in a plea deal with Calvert States Attorney Laura Martin. THE DEAL: Nutter was given a verdict of Probation Before Judgement.  Court records show that Nutter was cited for Violation of Probation on May 14, 2015 and on Feb. 5, 2016 was shown to be non-compliant with the rules of the Calvert Substance Abuse Program. Nutter attempted to have the DWI charge expunged from the court records on Dec. 4, 2018, which was denied by the court on Jan. 25, 2019.

LANCE ANTHONY GARDNER, (DOB 03/03/1990) of 1002 Acadian Drive, St. Martinville, La., was arrested for DWI-Alcohol, reckless and negligent driving and failing to have a permit to drive, by Maryland Trooper Engleman on Feb. 28, 2020, at 6:57 pm as he operated a 2014 GMC Sierra on Md. Rt. 235 at Buck Hewitt Road.

REPEAT OFFENDER DWI DRIVER

COURTNEY E’LEXUS BIVENS, (DOB 12/08/1995) of 7780 Marshall Corner Rd., Pomfret, Md., was arrested for DWI by Maryland State Trooper Joseph Azzari on Feb. 29, 2020, at 1:46 am as she operated a 2015 Ford Fusion on Md. Rt. 235 at Clarkes Landing Road in Hollywood, Md.  A trial is set in St. Mary’s District Court on May 22, 2020.

Courtney E’Lexus Bivens entered a guilty plea to DWI following her arrest on June 17, 2019, at 3:09 am by Maryland Trooper Devin as she operated a 2004 Honda Civic northbound on U.S. Rt. 301 at Billingsley Road in White Plains, Md.  In the plea deal in Charles County District Court, Bivens was given a verdict of Probation Before Judgement by the Charles County States Attorney Anthony Covington. THE DEAL: Bivens was sentenced to 10 days in jail with all of the time in the slammer suspended except for one day.

TRAVIS JAMAR MILLS, (DOB 08/02/1988) of 419 Stephan Young Court, Hollywood, Md., was arrested by Maryland Trooper Travis Howard for DWI on Feb. 29, 2020, at 2:51 am as he blew through a red light on Md. Rt. 235 at Rt. 4 in California, Md., in a 2020 Nissan Altima.  
Mills entered a guilty plea in a plea deal with St. Mary’s States Attorney Richard Fritz on Aug. 20, 2007, to possession of cocaine with the intent to distribute.

DWI REPEAT OFFENDER DRIVER

LATISHA MONIQUE JOHNSON, 41, (DOB 10/04/1978) of 47453 Lincoln Ave., Lexington Park, Md., was arrested for DWI, reckless driving and violating a license restriction by Maryland State Trooper J. Reid on March 5, 2020, at 9:46 pm as Johnson operated a 2020 Nissan on Md. Rt. 235 at Pegg Road in Lexington Park, Md.  A trial date is set for April 7, 2020, in St. Mary’s District Court. Johnson was jailed in the Hotel St. Mary’s pending a bond hearing and she was released on a percentage bond. Johnson is eligible for a free attorney provided by the Taxpayers of Maryland.

Latisha Johnson managed to go an entire month without having the cloud of a DWI charge hovering over her head due to the lack of concern she has exhibited about driving while impaired. On Feb. 6, 2020, Johnson entered a guilty plea to DWI-alcohol in Calvert District Court.  Johnson was arrested and charged for DWI on Oct. 23, 2019, at 3:26 pm by Calvert Sheriff Department Deputy W. Freeland. A free attorney from the public defender’s office provided her with legal representation.

Latisha Johnson scored a DWI arrest and conviction when she entered a guilty plea on Feb. 6, 2014. Johnson had been arrested by Maryland Trooper P. Kenge as she operated a 1997 Ford on U.S. Rt. 301 at Billingsley Road at White Plains, Md.

ALFONSO BERNARD GALVEZ, (DOB 11/01/1971) of 9343 Darcy Road, Upper Marlboro, Md., was arrested for DWI by Maryland Trooper Opirhory on March 8, 2020, at 1:17 am as he drove a 2018 Jeep southbound on Md. Rt. 235 north of Shangri-La Drive in downtown Lexington Park, Md.

DWI REPEAT OFFENDER DRIVER

GARRETT DEWAYNE BUTLER, (DOB 12/02/1979) of 22740 Longmore Street, Leonardtown, Md., was arrested by Maryland State Trooper E. Ruggles on March 8, 2020, at 10:08 am and charged with DWI-Alcohol as he drove a 2016 Chevy southbound on Md. Rt. 235 north of Loveville Road in Oakville, Md. Butler declined a free attorney from the public defender’s office and was released from the St. Mary’s County Jail on March 9, 2020.

Garrett Dewayne Butler was arrested by Maryland State Trooper S. Koch for DWI on Jan. 7, 2007, and Butler entered a guilty plea to DWI on Aug. 25, 2009.

HUGH JEFFREY CLARK JR., (DOB 04/28/1998) of 46880 Morning Dew Lane Apt. 30, Lexington Park, Md., was arrested by Maryland State Trooper Opirhory on March 10, 2020, at 12:26 am as Clark operated a 2012 Mazda southbound on Md. Rt. 235 at Chancellors Run Road in California, Md.

MARY LAUREN STAMP, 30, (DOB 10/18/1989) of 351 Skyview Drive, Lusby, Md., was arrested by Maryland State Trooper Posch on March 10, 2020, at 2:08 am. Stamp was operating a 2018 Chevy Sonic northbound on Md. Rt. 235 at Md. Rt. 4.

OSCAR H. RIVERA: Driving While Intoxicated: Deputies responded for a report of a reckless driver in the area of John Mosby Highway and Kikerran Drive in Aldie, Va. At 2:12 am on May 30, 2020. Upon locating the driver, the deputy initiated a traffic stop and found the driver to be under the influence of alcohol. Oscar H. Rivera, 28, of Manassas, Va., was charged with Driving While Intoxicated and transported to the Loudoun County Adult Detention Center where he is being held on a $1,500 bond.

WESLEY L. HALL – Driving Under the Influence: According to the Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office, on May 26, 2020, at 8:03 pm on John Mosby Highway at Zulia Road in Middleburg, Va., a deputy noticed a vehicle driving erratically and conducted a traffic stop. The driver was found to be suspected to be under the influence of narcotics. Wesley L. Hall, 32, of Warrenton, was transported to the Loudoun County Adult Detention Center, where she was charged with Driving While Intoxicated (2nd offense) and Possession of Controlled Substance. Hall is being held pending review.

NILESH K. MISHRA – Loudoun County Sheriff reports that on May 27, 2020, at 1:08 am, Loudoun County Deputies responded for a report of a suspicious vehicle. Upon arrival, deputies located a car running in the 42000 block of Ryan Road in Ashburn, Va., and a male seated in the driver’s seat. The driver was found to be under the influence of alcohol. Nilesh K. Mishra, 36, of Ashburn was transported to the Loudoun County Adult Detention Center, where he was charged with Driving While Intoxicated. Mishra is currently being held pending review.

ROJAS – Loudoun County Sheriff reports that a Loudoun Sheriff deputy conducting traffic enforcement observed a vehicle traveling at a high rate of speed on May 25, 2020, at 8:01 am on Sully Road in Sterling, Va. The deputy initiated a traffic stop, and when he approached the vehicle, he could smell the odor of marijuana—the driver, Victor J. Rojas, 29, of Sterling. Rojas was transported to the Loudoun County Adult Detention Center, where he was charged with Driving Under the Influence and was released on Personal Recognizance bond.

DWI Mama Marta Took Swing at Deputy

MARTA M. FLORIES – Driving While Intoxicated: Loudoun Sheriff Mike Chapman reports that while on patrol, a deputy located a vehicle being operated erratically on May 25, 2020, at 8:10 pm on Harry Byrd Highway at Belmont Ridge Road. The deputy initiated a traffic stop, and after conducting field sobriety tests, the driver became combative and disorderly. The driver was taken to a local area hospital where she became combative again. Marta M. Flores, 38, of Stephens City was charged with Simple Assault on a Law Enforcement Officer, Driving While Intoxicated, and Disorderly Conduct on Hospital Grounds. Flores was transported to the Loudoun County Jail where she was released on Personal Recognizance.

JULIO F. ARAGON – Driving While Intoxicated: Loudoun Sheriff Mike Chapman reports that deputies responded to a vehicle crash on May 14, 2020, at 9:24 am on Alderwood Terrace in Ashburn, Va.  The deputies found the driver of the striking vehicle to be under the influence of alcohol allegedly. Julio F. Aragon, 30, of Reston was charged with Driving While Intoxicated (2nd offense) and transported to the Loudoun County Adult Jail, where he is being held on No Bond.

GREGORY L. BAXTER – Driving While Intoxicated: Deputies initiated a traffic stop on a person involved in a suspected hit and run incident on Harmony Church Road at E. Colonial Highway in Hamilton, Va., on May 13, 2020, at 5:49 pm.  Deputies found the driver to be allegedly under the influence of alcohol. Gregory L. Baxter, 69, of Leesburg, Va., was charged with Driving While Intoxicated and transported to the Loudoun County Jail where he was released on a $1,500 bond.

Boozing Bolton Flipped Out

JOHN DALE BOLTON JR. – Driving Under the Influence: Loudoun County Virginia Sheriff Mike Chapman reports that Deputies responded for a report of a single-vehicle collision on May 9, 2020, at 2:48 pm on Harry Byrd Highway at City Center Blvd., in Sterling, Va., involving an overturned vehicle. Upon arrival, deputies discovered the driver to be under the influence of alcohol allegedly. John D. Bolton Jr., 62, of Sterling, was transported to a local area hospital for treatment of his injuries and issued a summons for Driving While Intoxicated. Bolton was charged by Deputy T. Wilson with DWI first offense on May 14, 2020, and was released on a summons. Bolton is represented by attorney William Mann and has a trial date of July 16, 2020.

Four-Time DWI Driver Beat Feet After Wreck

JOSE D. MATA – Loudoun County Sheriff Mike Chapman, reports that the driver of a vehicle allegedly walked away from a crash on May 10, 2020, at 11:51 am on Brixton Court in Sterling, Va., and fled to an apartment building. Deputies responded for a report of a vehicle collision and discovered that Jose D. Mata, 44, of Sterling, Va., the driver of the striking vehicle had vamoosed. Deputies were able to locate the driver and found him to be under the influence of alcohol. Jose D. Mata, 44, of Sterling, Va., was charged with Driving While Intoxicated (4th offense) and Driving on a Suspended License. Mata was transported to the Loudoun County Jail where he is being held without bond.

OTERO AVELAR – Driving While Intoxicated: Loudoun County Sheriff Mike Chapman reports that Deputies responded to Lakeview Center Plaza in Ashburn, Va., on May 7, 2020, at 9:01 pm for a report of a male suspected to be driving under the influence. During the Columbus Day Weekend, New York State Police troopers in Troop F from Thursday, October 6, 2020, at 12:00 a.m. through Tuesday,  October 13, 2020, 3 a.m., removed 44 impaired operators from the roadway and issued 1,913 vehicle and traffic law violations to include 545 speeding tickets, 46 seatbelt tickets, 27 child restraint tickets, 22 move over violations and 352 distracted driving tickets. State police also handled 75 vehicle crashes. Troop F includes Rockland, Orange, Sullivan, Ulster and Greene Counties.

JONATHAN MCCORMICK BUSTED FOR REALLY DWI TWICE IN WEEK

Jonathan McCormick, age 61 of New Boston, New Hampshire was arrested on October 5, 2020 and October 7, 2020 for Aggravated Driving While Intoxicated (DWI).

New York State Police report that on October 5, 2020, at approximately 1:10 p.m., State Police Middletown responded to Garnet Health in the town of Wallkill for a report of a hit and run in the parking lot. The vehicle was observed to be traveling on East Main Street in Wallkill

. When a trooper attempted to make a traffic stop, the operator of the vehicle, later identified by police as Jonathan McCormick, refused to comply and proceeded to State Route 17 westbound where a pursuit began. The pursuit lasted approximately 5 miles with a top speed of 80 miles per hour (mph). McCormick was taken into custody without incident. He had a blood alcohol content (B.A.C.) of .21 and he was charged with Aggravated DWI.  He was also charged with Reckless Driving, and Fleeing an Officer in a Motor Vehicle, both misdemeanors).

While searching the vehicle, troopers located a Colt .223 semiautomatic rifle and a Marlin 9mm semiautomatic rifle. He was additionally charged with Failing to Register a Weapon, a misdemeanor. The operator of the vehicle involved in the hit and run declined an accident report because of the minimal damage to their vehicle. McCormick was issued an appearance ticket returnable to the Town of Wallkill Court on October 26, 2020 at 2 p.m.

On October 7, 2020, at approximately 9:05 p.m. State Police Montgomery responded to State Route 208 in the town of Montgomery for a report of an erratic driver. Troopers located the vehicle and observed the vehicle to be driving in an erratic manner.

Troopers initiated a traffic stop. The operator of the vehicle, identified by New York State Police as Jonathan McCormick, 61 of New Boston, New Hampshire. He was determined by police to be impaired by alcohol. McCormick had a BAC of .24 and was charged with Aggravated DWI. He was released on an appearance ticket returnable to the Town of Montgomery Court on October 27, 2020, at 11:00 a.m.

26 DWI Drivers Corraled

New York State Police in Troop F issued 739 vehicle and traffic law violation tickets during the October 2, 2020 weekend. From 5:00 p.m. Friday, October 2, 2020, through 5:00 a.m. Monday, October 5, 2020, New York State Troopers in Troop F issued tickets for 275 speeding violations, 7 distracted driving violations, 14 seat belt violations, 12 child restraint violations, 7 move over violations, and removed 26 motorists from the road for Driving While Impaired. Troop F includes Rockland, Orange, Sullivan, Ulster, and Greene Counties.

DAVID LOWY CHARGED WITH
DWI-DRUGS IN HEAD-ON CRASH

On September 26, 2020, at approximately 10:00 p.m.., a New York state trooper patrolling State Route 212 in the town of Saugerties came upon a two-vehicle crash. The trooper immediately rendered first aid to the injured people involved in the crash.

Initial investigation revealed that a 2005 Audi A4, operated by David Lowy, age 64 of Chappaqua, NY along with a passenger, was traveling west on State Route 212 when he crossed over into the opposite lane and collided head-on with a 2008 Pontiac G6 traveling east.

Police say that the Pontiac was operated by Ann Tucker, age 75, of Saugerties. Both vehicles had massive front-end damage.

The Pontiac came to rest in a ditch off the east shoulder. The trooper observed Ann Tucker to have apparent leg injuries. The operators of both vehicles were airlifted to Albany Medical center.

The passenger in Lowy’s vehicle was transported by Mobil Live to Dutchess Hospital. While speaking with Lowy, troopers determined that he was impaired by drugs and he was subsequently charged with Driving While Ability Impaired (DWAI) Drugs. He is scheduled to return to the Town of Saugerties Court on October 21, 2020, at 6:00 p.m.

This is an ongoing investigation. Anyone who may have witnessed the crash or observed the vehicles prior to the crash is asked to call the state police at Kingston at 845-338-1702 and reference SJS 9842798.

Meth-head Todd Balzano busted for DWI-drugs after a lousy performance in a high-speed chase when he hit a police cruiser

On September 17, 2020, at approximately 10:05 p.m. New York State Police troopers stopped a 2017 Audi Q7 traveling on Greenville Turnpike for a violation of the vehicle and traffic law.  

The operator of the vehicle was identified by police as Todd A. Balzano, 48, of Lawrence, NY. Troopers learned that Balzano was wanted on a warrant from the state police in Brewster, New York.

While speaking with the trooper, Balzano became irate and fled the scene in his vehicle. Troopers initiated a pursuit with Balzano. He lost control of his vehicle striking one of the state police vehicles

Desperado Meth-Head Balzano claims he hurt his knee when he wrecked and had to get attention for his boo boo….poor desperado…

After being taken into custody, Balzano began to complain of knee pain. Greenville EMS arrived on the scene and transported Balzano to Garnet Health Medical Center in Orange County. The trooper was also transported to Garnet Medical Center where he was treated and released with non-life-threatening injuries.

Cops found meth-pipe

Police say that Balzano was found to be in possession of a smoking device containing methamphetamine. It was determined that he was under the influence of drugs and he was subsequently charged with Driving While Ability Impaired by Drugs.

After being treated and released from the hospital he was additionally charged with: Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 7th degree,

• and Fleeing an Officer in a Motor Vehicle, all misdemeanors.

There may be additional charges to follow. Balzano was issued Uniform Traffic Tickets and an Appearance Ticket returnable to the Town of Greenville Court on October 8, 2020 at 5:00 p.m. He was then turned over to the state police from the Brewster barracks for the active bench warrant.

DWI-drugs while driving stolen Chrysler

New York State Police report that on September 18, 2020, state police troopers responded to Mahogany Lane in Liberty, NY for a report of a stolen 1997 Chrysler Town and Country.

Troopers observed the vehicle traveling on Mahogany Lane and initiated a traffic stop. While interviewing the operator of the vehicle, Marissa J. Ghelberg, 21 of Liberty, N.Y., troopers determined that she was impaired by marihuana. Ghelberg was arrested for Driving While Ability Impaired by Drugs and Grand Larceny 4th degree, a felony. She was arraigned in the Town of Liberty Court in front of Judge Bauman and issued an appearance ticket returnable on September 30, 2020, at 2 p.m.

Melissa A. Vansteenburgh arrested for Leandra’s Law and Endangering the Welfare of a Child

The New York State Police report that on October 9, 2020, troopers out of SP Elma arrested Melissa A. Vansteenburgh, age 44, of the town of Aurora NY, for Felony Driving While Intoxicated under Leandra’s Law and Endangering the Welfare of a Child. Vansteenburgh was stopped on Bullis Rd in the town of Marilla after troopers observed her failing to maintain her lane.

During the traffic stop troopers detected the odor of alcohol.

Vansteenburgh was given standard field sobriety tests which she failed. Vansteenburgh had a passenger in the vehicle under the age of 16 and was subsequently arrested for Felony DWI under Leandra’s Law and Endangering the Welfare of a Child. She was transported to SP Elma where police say she refused to provide a breath sample. Vansteenburgh was printed, photographed, and processed. She was released with appearance tickets returnable to the Town of Marilla Court on 10/27/20 at 6:00 P.M.

Phillip M Bulluck Busted for DWI
by New York State Police

On October 14, 2020, at 4:11 P.M., Troopers out of SP Batavia arrested Phillip M. Bulluck, 34 of Greece, NY for Driving While Intoxicated, Aggravated Unlicensed Operator, and other vehicle and traffic infractions.

On October 14, 2020, Troopers stopped Bulluck on State Route 33 in the town of Bergen for traffic infractions. While interviewing Bulluck, an odor of alcoholic beverage was present.  Bulluck was placed under arrest after failing multiple SFSTs and transported to SP Batavia for processing.  Bulluck refused to submit to a chemical test to determine BAC.

Bulluck was issued traffic tickets returnable to the town of Batavia court for a later date in November 2020.

Sherriald Surrena III, 30, of Jamestown, for DWI

On October 15^th, 2020, Troopers out of SP Jamestown arrested Sherriald Surrena III, 30, of Jamestown, for Driving While Intoxicated. Surrena was pulled over on Route 394 in Kennedy for a traffic violation and after failing several SFSTs, Surrena was placed under arrest. Surrena was transported to SP Jamestown where he provided a breath sample of .11. Surrena was then processed, issued tickets, and released. Surrena is scheduled to appear in the town of Poland Court later in the month.

Wrong Way Michelle Harrison charged with felony DWI

On October 13^th, 2020, Troopers out of SP Jamestown arrested Michelle Harrison, 39, of Jamestown, for Felony Driving While Intoxicated and Aggravated Unlicensed Operation 3rd Degree. The Troopers pulled Harrison over for driving on the wrong side of the roadway and nearly causing a head-on collision on Martin Road in Jamestown. Harrison was placed under arrest after a preliminary investigation revealed that she was intoxicated. Harrison was transported to SP Jamestown where she refused to provide a breath sample.

Police say that a check of Harrison’s driving record revealed that her driving privileges in New York were currently suspended. Harrison was then processed and transported to the Chautauqua County Jail.

Rachel E. Simon arrested for DWAI-Drugs in Almond

New York State Police report that on October 12, 2020, SP Amity Troopers arrested Rachel E. Simon, 33, of Wellsville, NY for Driving While Ability Impaired by Drugs.

Troopers investigating a complaint at a business on State Route 21 in the town of Almond determined Simon had been operating a vehicle while in an impaired condition. She failed standardized field sobriety tests at the scene.

Simon was arrested and released with appearance tickets for Almond Town Court, where she is due to appear in November.

Lorraine S. Jandrew arrested for DWI

Police report that on October 10, 2020, New York State Police Machias Troopers arrested Lorraine S. Jandrew, 54, of Franklinville, NY for Driving While Intoxicated.

During a traffic stop on State Route 16 in the town of Franklinville, Jandrew was exhibiting obvious signs of intoxication. Troopers determined she had been operating a motor vehicle while in an intoxicated condition. She failed standardized field sobriety tests at the scene. Jandrew was then arrested and transported to SP Machias, where a chemical breath test revealed her to have a 0.13% BAC.

Jandrew was released with appearance tickets for Franklinville Town Court, where she is due to appear later this month.

Dakota A. King arrested for DWAI-Drugs in Carrollton after an interesting display of driving ability when careening into a ditch

On October 10, 2020, SP Olean Troopers arrested Dakota A. King, 25, of Eldred, PA, for Driving While Ability Impaired by Drugs.

Troopers attempting to make a traffic stop on King’s vehicle observed King drive his vehicle into a ditch along Hillside Drive in the town of Carrollton. Troopers determined King had been operating a vehicle while in an impaired condition. He failed standardized field sobriety tests at the scene. King was then arrested and transported to SP Olean where he refused to submit to a Drug Recognition Expert evaluation.

King was released with an appearance ticket for Carrollton Town Court, where he is due to appear later this month.

Timothy D. Billings arrested for DWAI-Drugs after accident

On October 9, 2020, New York State Police Amity Troopers arrested Timothy D. Billings, 30, of Wellsville, NY, for Driving While Ability Impaired by Drugs.

Troopers investigating a one-car accident on State Route 417 in the town of Wellsville determined Billings had been operating a vehicle while in an impaired condition. Police say that he was unable to complete standardized field sobriety tests at the scene due to injury. Billings was then arrested and transported to Jones Memorial Hospital for treatment. He was then transported to SP Amity where a Drug Recognition Expert evaluation confirmed impairment.

Billings was released with an appearance ticket for Wellsville Town Court, where he is due to appear in November.

Rachel McCarthy busted for DWI

Police report that on October 11^th, 2020, a Trooper from New York State Police Jamestown Barrack arrested Rachel McCarthy, 23, of Panama, for Driving While Intoxicated. McCarthy was pulled over on Crescent Street in Jamestown for a traffic violation and after failing several SFSTs, McCarthy was placed under arrest. McCarthy was transported to SP Jamestown where she provided a breath sample of .08. McCarthy was then processed, issued tickets, and released. McCarthy is scheduled to appear in the city of Jamestown Court later in the month.

Trent Allen Brooks was found guilty of abduction, carjacking, use of a firearm in the commission of a felony and hit and run in Caroline Circuit Court. Virginia State Police reported in 2012: the pair left the scene of an accident and forced their way into a man’s truck, told him they had a gun, and demanded he drive them away.  About a mile later the pair told the driver to stop, jumped out of the truck, and ran off into the woods.

On Saturday, Sept. 22, 2012, after a crash at the intersection of Route 1 and Marye Road in Virginia, police said the driver of a Pontiac G6 failed to stop at a stop sign and was hit by a 1998 Dodge Durango.

Three people inside the Pontiac were not injured. However, five people inside the Dodge, three of whom suffered injuries, were taken to Mary Washington Hospital in Fredericksburg.

Police said as Trooper M.C. Hite was attending to several of the injured, the Pontiac’s driver, Cheryl Marie Ruedi, and backseat passenger, Trent Alen Brooks, left the scene on foot.

Authorities said witnesses spotted them getting into a nearby pickup that was located near the crash scene.

Later on, around 7:15 p.m., a man told troopers at the crash scene he had been abducted by Ruedi and Brooks. The man stated that he was forced into his pickup truck by the man, who said he had a gun, and told to drive the pair away from the scene. They traveled west on Marye Road for about half a mile when Brooks ordered the man to stop the pickup truck. Brooks and Reudi then ran from the pickup truck and fled into the woods on foot.

Cheryl Marie Ruedi

Ruedi was charged with felony hit and run, possession with intent to distribute marijuana, driving on a suspended license, reckless driving, and failure to obey a highway sign. She was sentenced to 30 days in jail for possession with the intent to sell drugs. The carjacking charge was dropped. Ruedi was also wanted by the Spotsylvania County Sheriff’s Office for grand larceny of a stolen vehicle.

Brooks was charged with abduction, use of a firearm in the commission of a felony, carjacking, hit and run, possession of marijuana with intent to distribute, possession of a firearm with an active protective order, brandishing a firearm, and assault. Brooks was also wanted by the Spotsylvania County Sheriff’s Office for assault on a family member.

Brooks was sentenced to eight years in prison. With a new DUI conviction, backup time might see Brooks spending a few more years in prison.
